The artwork
Homer ends Springfield's prohibition ordeal with a toast to alcohol as both the cause of and solution to life's problems. A precarious pile of beer kegs carries the contradiction: cause tilts with the falling stack while solution braces the other side.
The scene
Homer vs. the Eighteenth Amendment · Season 8, Episode 18
After an obsolete prohibition law is discovered to have already been repealed, drinking returns to Springfield. Homer delivers a celebratory toast from a pile of beer kegs, embracing alcohol as both cause and solution. The illustration translates that contradiction into an original arrangement of lettering and kegs.
