The artwork
Kent Brockman mistakes a close-up of an ordinary ant aboard the space shuttle for evidence of an insect takeover, then eagerly offers his allegiance. An enormous ant fills a circular broadcast view above his declaration, with welcome picked out in orange.
The scene
Deep Space Homer · Season 5, Episode 15
An ordinary ant floats close to the shuttle television camera and appears enormous on the broadcast. After the feed is lost, Kent Brockman wrongly announces a giant-ant conquest and immediately welcomes the imagined rulers. The illustration shows the intimidating close-up rather than an actual invasion.
