The artwork

Open metal barn doors reveal the confidently completed wrong structure. A pool-kit carton, hollow tubes and a folded blue liner show what the family meant to build; cream lettering and yellow emphasis deliver the dry correction.

The scene

Bart of Darkness · Season 6, Episode 1

During summer heat the Simpson family buys a pool kit and assembles it together. Their first completed result is an aluminum barn. Homer invites everyone into the pool; an Amish man compliments the barn but points out it is no pool. They then reassemble the kit properly.
